Solution Sales Application Engineer

Solution Sales Application Engineer

The Solution Sales Application Engineer will work closely with HVAC representatives throughout North America making equipment selections, performance, pricing and submittals.

The primary function of the position is to provide product solution engineering support to AboveAir rep force. The ability to communicate both verbal and written, suggest alternatives and provide technical data are only some of the multi-tasking requirements. The successful candidate will utilize both business and technical expertise to provide equipment solutions for individual projects. This position will require organizational skills to manage multiple projects and respond in a timely manner to product requests.

Job Description

  • Provide system unit design, performance and pricing assistance.
  • Review drawings, schedules and performance requirements for applications.
  • Assist in specification review and if necessary, provide alternative recommendations.
  • Review project order documentation for accuracy.
  • Produce submittals and other documents for engineering approval.

Qualifications

  • BSME required.
  • 2 years or more HVAC experience.
  • Experience in fan performance, heat transfer technology, air and water cooled equipment.
  • Experience with Outside Air and Mission Critical equipment technologies.
  • Experience working with sales reps and consulting engineers preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CAD.
  • High level of creativity and problem solving.
  • Ability to demonstrate conduct by conforming to a set of values and accepted standards.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet time sensitive material requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
HVAC & Refrigeration Test Technician

HVAC & Refrigeration Test Technician

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of refrigeration & electrical components
  • Must be familiar w/HVAC & dehumidification systems
  • Must have knowledge of different refrigerant gases
  • Must have industrial electrical knowledge to troubleshoot HVAC or environmental control systems
  • Ability to use all appropriate test equipment including, but not limited to, meters, refrigeration gauges, etc.
  • Ability to use all safe practices when dealing with electricity & pressurized systems
  • Working knowledge of HVAC formulas used in sizing/selection of product & a complete understanding of psychometrics and use of psychometric formulas
  • Able to speak effectively with employees of the organization
  • Able to work from & carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
Assembler

Assembler

Integrates assembly components, subassemblies, products or systems into various configurations by performing the following duties & responsibilities in a reasonable & productive time frame:

  • Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch
  • Must be able to follow verbal instruction• Must be able to use hand tools• Mount & assemble components such as coils, blowers, compressors, etc.• Assemble & attach hardware such as bolts, washers, screws, etc.• Must be able to identify parts necessary to complete the job• Ability to read drawing schematics• Must be able to position and align parts in relationship to each other in accordance with drawings

Refrigeration Piper

Refrigeration Piper

Integrates piping components, valves, subassemblies, products or systems into various configurations by performing the following duties & responsibilities in a reasonable & productive time frame:

  • Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch
  • Must be able to follow verbal instruction
  • Must be able to use hand tools & pipe benders
  • Mount & assemble components such as valves, coils, blowers, compressors, etc.
  • Assemble & attach hardware such as bolts, washers, screws, etc.
  • Must be able to identify valves necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to read refrigeration piping schematics
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
Electrical Wiring Technician

Electrical Wiring Technician

Integrates components, sub-assemblies, products or systems into various configurations by performing the following duties & responsibilities in a reasonable & productive time frame:

  • Must be able to read electrical pictorial diagrams & ladder diagrams
  • Must be able to work off of written work instructions, blueprints & customer specs
  • Must be able to use hand tools
  • Must be able to identify components & wire sizes
  • Must have understanding of the basics of control & relay logic
  • Must be able to stand, sit and bend for extended periods
  • Knowledge of basic refrigeration principles, helpful
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, helpful
  • Other duties as assigned

Welder

Welder

Integrates components, sub-assemblies, products or systems into various configurations by performing the following duties & responsibilities in a reasonable & productive time frame:

  • Weld multiple material types in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions
  • Remove and install rolls of weld wire & make equipment adjustments as necessary to properly weld
  • Interpret blueprints & weld symbols to produce welds to print specification(s)
  • Use proper welding technique & a make equipment adjustments as necessary to produce quality welds
  • Repair defective welds to print specification(s)
  • Prepare parts necessary for welding
  • Clean up of welded parts per print specification(s)
  • Follow written welding procedures, specifications and work instructions
  • Assist team members in other areas of to meet daily production goals
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
